Films & Books Vin Diesel posted some early concept art for the new Riddick film by Patrick Tatopoulos on his Facebook page. He wrote:

Early Riddick concept art... first frame of a 2D Motion Choreography Study.

Grrrr...

The Furian... left for dead...

It looks nice. That could be some early version of a "mud demon" and the rock formation in the background looks like it's from the White Desert in Egypt that Vin already talked about.

Pitch Black and TCoR were both somewhat flawed movies, but both movies (TCoR especially) showed off so much potential. It would be criminal not to explore it any further, so I'm glad that Vin and Twohy are finally getting the chance, especially of Tatopoulos involved. I've always been a big fan of his work.

you have no idea how happy this makes me. i had seriously lost faith in the franchise. it seems it really does take them five years between each movie. I can't wait to see where this goes and to actually be able to see Riddick on the big screen! whoot!

I saw this :D It looks awesome and I'm really pumped. I'm just so happy that a character like Riddick is being given another chance to breathe, to live again.
